This is your brain. This is your brain on runs.
Well, not your brain. It's actually my brain.
Since starting to run on a consistent basis more than two years ago, I have realized that I do some of my most productive, least destructive, and overall just plain brilliant (relatively speaking) thinking while running. Maybe it is the rhythm of pounding on the pavement that puts my mind into a focused trance. Maybe it is just a chance to unwind and escape from the day. Whatever it is, running has become, for me, the best place (other than the toilet) to sort out my thoughts.
Hence, this blog. Everyone has a blog now, and I love a good bandwagon, so I thought I'd hop right on. What better way to purge my thoughts than to draw attention to them on the Internet? Everyone wants to read what I have to think, right? Technology is awesome.
(I am working on inventing a sarcasm font for the purposes of this blog...I really don't think that highly of myself.)
So, if you feel like following along, enjoy. You might laugh (even though I am probably not as funny as I think I am) or you might learn something. Hell, you might even just find a new band to listen to or a new race to enter.
Or, you might just chuckle that the title of this blog sounds like slang for diarrhea.
Really, that's what this all amounts to, anyway: mental diarrhea. I think it, it comes out. Stick around if you can stomach it, and, just like any run, enjoy!
